Dr. Lillian Schapiro received her undergraduate degree from Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut. She graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Distinction in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1991. She completed her residency at the University of North Carolina, where she served as Chief Resident from 1994-1995. She was elected as Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1998. A caring and compassionate physician, Dr. Schapiro is pleased to be able to use her skills as a mohelet, performing ritual Jewish circumcisions. She has also published a humorous novel about infertility called Tick Tock, available at www.ticktock.ws. Dr. Schapiro specializes in all aspects of women's gynecologic and obstetric health, both in the office and in the operating room. She is an expert on in-office endometrial ablations as well as the new Essure tubal ligation procedure.
