Dr. James Ingvoldstad is from Iowa and received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University. He graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Iowa, where he served as Chief Resident from 1975-1976. In 1979, he was certified by and elected as Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He served in the U.S. Air Force before starting private practice. He has been the Chief of Gynecology at Piedmont Hospital. Dr. Ingvoldstad is known for his compassionate understanding as well as excellent surgical skills.
